After 5 years of painting Lake Michigan I was convinced it was a forever thing. Then one day while painting over an old painting a series of abstract shapes appeared. Not sure where the muse was leading, I followed. The painting developed into a kind of "map". Maps can guide and lead us to the place we want to be.
